Tradition vs. Truth

I spoke to a Jewish man today.
He said he did not believe in Jesus and said that he was not educated enough on the matter to know whether there was a God or not.
I asked him did he want to know the truth?
He said, He didn’t know if he wanted to know and that he was comfortable in not knowing.
But he did say it was difficult for him to believe there even could be a God since the Holocaust happened.  “How could a God allow a Holocaust?”
There are a lot of people who don’t know the truth and do not necessarily want to know the truth but are content in their rituals and traditions and or their version of religion or spirituality.  People make a number of excuses to remain in their comfort zone, but Jesus stepped out of His comfort zone on our behalf when he died on the cross and resurrected himself on the third day.  He rebuked tradition when he went up against the Jewish Pharisees telling them it was more important to follow God than man-made traditions. He gave us the truth when He said in John 14:6… “I am the way, the truth, and the life no man comes to the Father, but by me.”
