What is Your Prison?

In Chimoio, Mozambique, we were at a women’s prison, which allowed children to live with their incarcerated mothers. It was a sad image of one person’s actions having consequences felt by the family.  Oftentimes, we think we are not hurting anyone else with our sins; we are.

My question to you is, what is your prison?  What is the sin that has you trapped?  How are you rebelling against God and impacting others? Don’t be fooled into thinking you are the only one affected. In  Romans 6, Paul speaks how sin has sinners trapped, but Jesus has set us free, and now we are slaves to righteousness, which is a beautiful thing.  “But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.” – Romans 6:17-18. Get free from sin and become an instrument of righteousness in Jesus Christ.  Because when that happens, it is not just for you but you become a blessing to many.
