As we prepare for another ministry trip to Mozambique I took a moment to reflect. I started doing prison ministry in 2003. A friend of mine went to prison and I went to visit him and after seeing his condition and hearing his story I just wanted to help. Now 23 years later the Lord has led me to visit Mozambique because after seeing the conditions and hearing the stories I have just wanted to help. We still do prison ministry, that has not changed, but we have also helped other individuals, churches, and communities in numerous ways by meeting physical and spiritual needs in the name of Jesus. The Scripture that I think captures this is Psalms 40:7
But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God.
