Jesus says in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” At Rehoboth International Christian Ministries on Sunday, June 16, 2024 I had finished preaching and was speaking to the congregation when two little children who were playing in the aisle started walking towards my direction. One of the adults attempted to stop them as to not interrupt the service, but I asked to let them come and Pastor Banda and I prayed over the two children. On June 21, 2024, my own children, Isaac – 11 and Isaiah – 14, were with me in Moatize, Mozambique after they had accompanied me on a trip to Angonia Prison and they saw some children playing soccer with a ball that had been made out of old plastic bags balled up and then held together by tape. My children took the soccer ball that they had and went to play with the children and then we handed out all the snacks we had in our vehicle to the 40 or so children playing that day. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me…” and the Lord also said, “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” Jesus wanted the children to come to Him and God draws people with His lovingkindness. So let us remember to be loving and kind to the children so that we can draw them to the Lord.
